09.04.08 Del & Jason,
Congratulations on your recent CA nuptuals. I wish you both a lifetime of bliss. I am under the impression that we have actually met at some point in Austin. No doubt we have many mutual friends in common as i have worked in the industry and lived in austin all my life. Regardless, it would be great to get back in touch if your schedule allows. The unique message you seem to effortlessly portray in your body of work impacts humanity in a very poigniant and soulful way.... more than you could likely imagine. Brava. You are certainly leaving your mark on our culture.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Jason
09.03.08 Del,
Can I just tell you how much I appreciate being able to send this e-mail and know that you will actually receive it? Thank you so much for the opportunity to “speak” directly with you. That’s huge!
I am writing to tell you a couple of things that I hope you’ll appreciate…
First is how much my Nashville friends and I are enjoying “Sordid Lives” on LOGO. The show is ABSOULTELY FABULOUS!!!! We now include “OH-Kaaaay” and “No Ma’am – No Sir” and “Sweet Baby Jesus” in our daily conversations and then laugh like little school girls.
Congratulations on writing and producing such a wonderful series! And many thanks for providing us (and hopefully millions of others) with a weekly source of GREAT entertainment. We’re all definitely hooked and hope the series will continue FOREVER!
In a previous e-mail, I told you how much “Southern Baptist Sissies” touched me. It was not only YOUR story on stage; it was MINE (and countless others)!
I spent months after the Nashville “SBS” experience dealing with some issues about how to be “me” with my dear sweet Southern Baptist mother (who is also my “dear sweet friend”).
Well… I’m happy to report I FINALLY made the leap and came out to my mother a couple of months ago (I’m 45 and she’s 75).
I have to tell you, that exchange was nothing less than wonderful! I cried, and she listened. I cried more and she responded in a way I never dreamed possible. I’ll spare you the details, but at the end of my blubbering, I received TOTAL ACCEPTANCE!
After all these years I can finally be ME.
Del, you clearly played a HUGE role in helping me get to the place where I could have that conversation. THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH for the tremendous impact you have had on my life!
Your friend,
Roger
09.01.08 I used to play in rock bands in the 70's. One night, we were returning to Austin from playing a gig at a fraternity at Baylor.
We stopped at a MacDonalds to get a bite. While we were there, a black guy came in waving a gun and yelling at everybody to get
down on the floor. Of course he was speaking ebonics, sounded like "g'own t'floor". Well, we were pretty amused so we grabbed
our big macs, fries, shakes and got down under the table and continued eating. The robber was wearing a pink billowing shirt,
kind of like a pirate shirt, and the gun sure looked like a starters pistol. Of course nobody in our group was going to challenge
the guy. He got small sums of money from 2 or 3 cash registers and then left.
Well we finished eating and decided to leave, BIG MISTAKE!!
About 10 miles outside of Waco, flashing red lights came on. Kerry the singer was rolling a joint so we told him to stash the
stuff in his underwear. We stopped the car and before we could get out, we were surrounded by police with guns pointed at us.
They were all yelling at the same time - "Get out of the Car", "Don't Move". They were pretty excited. We moved very slow.
They handcuffed us and then set us in the patrol cars. We told them who we were, what we had been doing, etc. So they said they
were going to take us back to the MacDonalds for an ID. We did that and the manager said we were not involved in the robbery. We
were extremely thankful that the cops never found the pot.
The problem was that we left the scene of a robbery before the cops got there. That was a good lesson for us. Fortunately, I
have never had to put this knowledge to use since then.
When the whole episode was wrapping up, one of the officers asked us, "Are you gonna write a song about this?" Well, you know I have considered it and have the title - "g'own t'floor"
09.01.08 I just recently read an article in Texas Monthly magazine mentioned Del Shores of Winters, Texas. As a native of Winters myself, I was proud and happy to learn Mr Shores if from my home town.
I admit I couldnt wait to get away from there, and it is only in recent years have I learned to appreciate my heritage. After traveling the world, living in Boston, LA, and Melbourne, Australia, I am again "back home" living in San Antonio..only 200 miles from there!
Good for you, Mr. Shores! and all your successes. Liz Allchin
09.01.08 I love Sordid Lives!!! As a Texan from a suburb of Ft. Worth I can so relate! I would love to be involved in anything you do Del! Please take a look at my girlfriends my space page. myspace.com/melissacollinsmusic. I have GOT to find a way to get her heard! Can you help a gal out! Our community needs to see and hear her!
Thanks Del! Keep doing what you do!
08.30.08 I just discovered SORDID LIVES and I am hopelessly hooked. What a riot! My hat is off to you and Leslie both for a wonderful series that portrays the funny side of life - in all its vivid color! Kudos!

08.29.08 Hi. I grew up in a little town - West Plains, Missouri - home town of Porter Wagoner- which just about says it all. My mom and her two sisters are very similar to the women on Sordid Lives. You know the episode of Sordid Lives where they have something wrapped around their heads with big metal clips? When I was growing up, my mom had this hairdo that I call a "70's B-52" and she had this piece of blue foam that wrapped around her head and then attached to itself with velcro. She as the first Marge Simpson. What a great form of birth control! I really believe I'm an only child because of that hair contraption. I wouldn't have touched my mom with a 10 foot pole! Anyway, I've been watching Sordid Lives on Direct TV, Logo, and it didn't air last week. I've e-mail Direct TV and Logo but, alas, have no answer back. I am so disappointed. Why didn't it air? BTW, I loved Daddy's Dyin' Who's Got the Will and tonight my boyfriend and I are going to see "Southern Baptist Sissies" at the Weekend Theatre here in Little Rock.
08.28.08 Hi Del,
I just watched "Sordid Lives" for the first time and I absolutely LOVE it! I haven't been so entertained in quite some time. I sincerely hope that LOGO is supporting the series and that a 2nd season will be ordered. I am really looking forward to the development of these brilliant characters.
Sincerely,
Gus Haberstock
08.28.08 Del,
My partner and I just love your new series on Logo. When is the Southern Baptist Sissies movie coming out. We saw it here on stage 3 times. We love your humor. Thanks for the laughs. Beth Grant is incredible.
Thanks again for sharing your life and talent.
Frank
08.27.08 Just have to say you did an awesome job on Sordid Lives:The Series the cast is magnifanct! Could you snail mail me an autograph picture of Del Shores?
Thanks!

08.26.08 Del first of all congrats on the TV series, I love it. i am a very big fan of your work, i played Benny in SBS for Buffalo United Artists a few years back and I consider it my greatest role ever. The monologues are brilliant nd i use them regulary for auditions. Thank you! So currently I have returned to college after 7 years and as a senior I must direct a 10 min 2-3 person play. Do you have any of work that fits the bill.
Thank again,
Joey Bucheker
08.25.08 Dear Mr. Shores
I am published/produced playwright in Lubbock Texas. My small amatuer theater is interested in presenting Sordid Lives next season. Could you please tell which publisher represents that play? I thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Whitney Ryan Garrity
08.24.08 I started watching your series Sordid Lives and am just blown away. I am not a huge tv watcher but I never miss Sordid lives! I did not know about the movie but when i heard about it, i ran to blockbuster. Thank you for your creativity and truth. As a lesbian and also someone who has lived in the south, I am touched as much as I am humored. Thank you for what you have brought to this world. I have told everyone i know about Sordid Lives! Keep writing and creating, thank you so much.
08.24.08 Love the show! I can so relate with the show's depiction of West Texas culture. I'm a lesbian who has been involved with a woman from Bronte, Texas for the last 4 years. Her ex husband came out before we met and the two divorced leaving her with full custody of 2 children. Following her ex's coming out, she came out a couple years before we met and after we met, she's been gradually coming out to her West Texas family. In my travels around West Texas in the past 4 years, I have experienced the cultural differences between West Texas and my home Sacramento, California. I've lived all over the US as an Army brat but the West Texas small town experience is a unique one. It's always an adventure! I wish you much success with your show. We enjoy it very much.
08.23.08 Del, I love your plays and enjoy Sordid Lives the Series. I relate so much to the characters. Even though I grew up on San Angelo, most of my relatives were from Ballinger.
08.23.08 Del: this is your devoted fan in Colombo Sri Lanka. Pls. write to him and send him an autographed pic. I will love you forever as if that is work! xoxoxo Tyler
08.23.08 "I don't wanna be TRAY-sh" no more"
Del, i have to tell you ALL about Jason. Right away, let me tell you that the 3rd Sordid Lives on Wed. night was the BEST...."
As for Jason....this is how GOOD he is....he plays this difficult role to pull off in which he has to appear a naive gay actor in West Hollywood....who would believe this?
So, he is in a shower and his boyfriend comes in with him...Jason gives this BEWILDERED look downward...is he looking at himself? his boyfriend? both? neither? the SECRET of Jason is that you can never tell what he is thinking (in this role anyway) he is such an adorable airhead.... "WHERE ARE YOU JASON???" anyway, love you Del. Did you have fun in Fiji? Was Jason a mess? Also, the spilled nail varnish for BLOOD with the gun is flawless....
Tyler xoxoxoxoxoxox
08.20.08 thank you, i am now addicted to sordid lives.....i savor every moment....a highlight of my day everytime i see it...your new series blows me away....it should be enjoyed in primetime on a national network, maybe one day it will be...bless you for all your talents and thanks again for bringing me joy. steve:)
08.19.08 I am currently playing Brother Chaffey/Houston in the Weekend Theater's production of Southern Baptist Sissies in Little Rock, Arkansas. It has been one of the most difficult shows I've ever been involved with, because it so close to home for me!
I do have a question about some of your hymn selections. Why did you not include "Just as I am" as one of your hymns? Being raised Southern Baptist myself, it seems that every service ended with "Just as I am" being the invitional hymn. I have included it in my underscoring of Andrew's first monologue in the first act and as underscoring during Peanut and Andrew's dialogue then segue to "Pass Me Not" once Andrew reads the note and realizes that his mother's knows.
Anyway, while it has been a difficult show to work, I am enjoying Brother Chaffey/Houston very much.
Bill
08.18.08 Greetings. I am on the board of directors at Sam Bass Community Theatre in Round Rock, TX. We are producing Sordid LIves this season and have done Daddy's Dyin' in the past. Our audiences love your shows. We are an all-volunteer organization with a small 50-seat house. I am in charge of fundraising at SBCT, and I was wondering if you could help us out, NOT through a personal appearance or anything like that. Would it be possible for you to donate an autographed copy of Sordid Lives for our silent auction fundraiser? I would purchase the script, mail it to your agent or whatever address it would need to go to along with a return envelope that is stamped and addressed, and would even include a pen if you would like to make it that much easier. Thank you for your attention, and I can't wait to do Sordid Lives this spring.
08.15.08 Del, I have really enjoyed the series very much!!! Play and movie prior to the series. I hope you will keep it UP fpr all of us. Do you ever travel to Memphis/North Missississpi? If so, I enjoy meeting you and Ty to say hello.
Can you tell me if "Sordid Lives:The Series" is up for renewal for a second season???????
Let's all get together and hope for the best!!!!

08.15.08 I graduated from WHS in 1972. How long did you live in Winters?
08.15.08 I was hoping to get in touch with Del. My mother's sister is married to Del's brother Dexton, and Del used to hang out with my family when I was a little girl. My mother and I were talking about Del just this past weekend, his accomplishments, etc so I thought I would look him up. He knew me as Michelle and tell him I am Cynthia Virgen Patena's daughter.....he should remember me. I was actually at Dexton's this past Christmas when he called, but did not get a chance to say hello. Just wanting to say hi to an old friend, my sister and I adored him when we were young, but he moved to Cali and we just never saw him again. My contact info is my email address: missylmp@yahoo.com or my cell # is 405-802-8812. Would love to say hi.........
08.15.08 Thank you for Sordid Lives. My mother is from Winters and I remember visiting my grandparents every holiday and shopping at Heidenhammers. The threat of a rubber room in Big Springs was also the theat for any bad behavior growing up. My mother (the Baptist) actually watches the show and doesn't seem to mind the gay themes. Before you know it, she may actually come visit me in gay old San Francisco and really get a dose of the times.
Keep up the good work.
Jeff
08.14.08 Hi Del,
You are amazing! I love the movie Sordid Lives and now I love the show too! I grew up in London, Kentucky and my family life IS this movie! I love seeing you and Jason together - you look great and so in love! Keep up the good work! God Bless, Rob Adams
08.13.08 Thank you so much for doing Sordid Lives. I grew up gay in the south and you have helped me to humor in what I thought was only "one tragic life". I grew up in that trailer with the bullet holes. So much of you show is so much a part of my life. And I can heal with the laughter that you have brought to this show. Thank you so much!
James Amerson
08.13.08 Del,
Thank you so much for doing Sordid Lives. I grew up gay in the south and you have helped me to find humor in what I thought was only "one tragice life" I grew up in that trailer with bullet holes! So much of your show is so much a part of my life. And I can heal with the laughter that you have brought to this show. Thank you so much.

08.13.08 I have fallen in love with the series... I would swear I was home again during every episode! Growing up gay in Burnet, TX was no cake walk, but I managed to become a Deputy Sheriff for Burnet County SO at 19, and was able to "play straight" for the 4 years I worked there. I now live in Gay Ft Lauderdale, but visit home regularly. My friends all think I am crazy and some of them just don't get it. But I damn sure do! Brilliant writing! I'm not an actor, but I could sure play one next season if you need a real Gay Texan! Best Wishes to you and Jason, hope to meet you both someday.
08.12.08 Im intrested in making a Sordid Lives Cooklbook... Is there one? How do I obtain rights to use movie/play quotes? I livve in the Memphis area and am a retired Drag Queen here.. Im 32, love your work, and wanna make a cookbook.
08.12.08 Love Sordid Lives, Daddy's Dying, Trials and tribulations of a trailer-trash housewife. Wonder about the posibility of staging one of yout plays in London ?
(Local amateur production, perhaps ?)
08.12.08 Del: You are a brilliant artist. Love you and Jason too here on the East Coast.
Sodid Lives is just such a delight Del. The latest delight from your production company. Good luck and KEEP the EPISODES coming!
08.12.08 Hello Del:
I just wanted to say hello to you and Jason!
Here is my website finally Wanted to share it with you guys. Check it out it's awesome.
www.ShamanHeals.com
I talk to Kelly B. once in awhile and she mentions you. So, I just wanted to reconnect. I am still with my partner of over 4 years. It's a great relationship. Valarie Zuvuya
08.11.08 I've seen Sordid Lives on stage, film and now the series. It's amazing how you've gotten the characters just right. I grew up in both Winters and Abilene and can personally relate to the storyline. My mother still says to this day that one of us children will push her over the edge and she'll end up in Big Spring's. Growing up gay in West Texas was no picnic. I'm glad I was able to eventually get out. I may be a thousand miles away but every time I see your show It's like going home. Thankyou and keep up the incredible work.
William
08.11.08 Mr. Shores,
I love your work. My partner and I are looking into securing the rights to produce "Sordid Lives" in Billings Montana. What a great play!...and a great movie.
Thank you for your talent. We love you.
Tony and Mike Starmley
08.09.08 Del Shores,
My name is Joel Craig and I was in your movie Sordid Lives as one of the naked stage actors. I was the one who gave the look to the black guy to try to seduce him away from Tye. I haven't seen your show yet but a friend said there was a scene with some naked boys and I was wondering if you might need any more naked people.
you can email me or call @ 323 851-9305.
Sincerely,
Joel Craig
08.09.08 I just LOVE "Sordid Lives"......both the movie and the Logo series! It is the BEST show I have seen in a long, long time.
I wish to congratulate you and Jason on your marriage. The two of you make a beautiful couple. I wish you many, many years of happiness together.
Lastly, THANK YOU for what you have done to bring honest, uplifting entertainment to all of us. You are a genius! God bless you.
08.07.08 Hello! You know, when I watched the movie "Sordid Lives" do not think I ever noticed that it was set in Winters, Texas, I was totally taken aback when I saw that at the beginning of each of the TV episodes! Well, I am a Winters gay boy myself! Well, at least I lived there between the late 50's and 1963! I presume you were a mere 6 or 7 when we finally escaped the place the summer after the 6th. grade. I still have plenty of relatives in Runnels county and saw them after many years about 3 years ago. We lived at 619 Main Street...used to walk and ride bike downtown all the time, especially to look at all those things we couldn't afford at Higgenbothams. Thanks for the great laughs throughout Sordid Lives and I am now a bit more proud that another "different" boy has become a real success!
08.07.08 Mr. Shores,
I love your work. The characters resemble so many people that I know. The writing and casting could not be better. The only complaint I have it that "Sordid Lives; The Series" is only a half-hour show. I feel that it should be an hour-long show. Kudos to you and your staff. I would also like an autographed photo of you, you and Jason, or you and the cast.
Thank you,

08.06.08 Hi Del,
I am positive you do not remember me, but years ago, when I lived in Long Beach and you were up the coast somewhere ... Santa Monica or Malibu or something ... we chatted on AOL. You told me you were a writer and, unfortunately, the damn geography devil kept us from actually getting together and meeting in person.
However, I remembered our chats fondly everytime I saw an episode of QaF. And now, I just had to send you a note and say "hi" once again as I am busting a gut (and maybe peeing just a little) while watching Sordid Lives the series.
Congratulations on an impressive body of work and thank you for creating something as wonderful as this new series. There are times I swear that you wrote this just for people with sick, twisted, humor like myself! Oh, wait, you probably did!
Anyway, I'm now in DC and laughing my ass off. I hope you don't mind that I occassionally try to impress folks by telling them that I once chatted with the "great Mr. Del Shores!" Now I wish I had fought that damn traffic! ;-)
All the best,
Kenny
08.06.08 Del:
How are you my friend? I am just visiting your site for the first time. Thing are going so well in NYC! I cannot believe it, but I live at Metropolitan Tower -- that black glass building next Carnegie Hall -- do you remember your producer friend (did she pass away) ? :( live there? You stayed there when you came out the Sordid Live premiere in NYC. We bought it 5 years ago.
I just found a great photo of us at the Seattle International Film Festival with Bonnie Bedelia that I wanted to send you. What is the best email address.
We will be out in LA visiting our friend John Yarborough for his wedding - can you believe it?
Would love to see you.
Much love,

08.04.08 Thank you so much for making Sordid Lives continue. We have watched the movie so many times and were hoping for a second movie. "The day Tammy died" was perfect for a beginning. I see so many characters in the show everyday in my own life, especially Sissy. I see my cousins, aunts and coworkers in the personalities of the show. I live in Tennessee and can relate to the humor. How did you find a way to relate to the stories? Do you also have relatives in your own life that these characters came from? I met Beth once in a movie in which I was an extra and she is so nice. I hope this show goes on for a long time. If you ever need an extra for your show who can relate, call me. I am sure your set is a riot.
Thanka again,
Chuck Winstead
08.03.08 Love Sordid Lives on Logo.
I am a long time fan of Olivia Newton-John. Please make a DVD of her performances and songs that she performs on Sordid lives.
Just a nit-pic - Uniforms at Mountain-View women's unit are white, not orange. I've been there (visitor).
08.02.08 Hello, former winters resident here . what a hoot watching your show. my partner and i loved it. cant wait for the next episode. i was born in winters 4/12/1962 graduated from high school in 1980, and never thought of moving back. now living in va, was in winters/ballinger a few months ago to be with my mother and my father who was fighting cancer. winters has not changed much. however, the people there were great. my partner and i were there for about 8 weeks until my father passed. the people there were truly welcoming and genuinely nice folk. my parents have lived there all there life and have made some great friends. his friends are now mine and my partner john's. too bad i dont think they get logo tv there. i think they would love your show. anyway look forward to new episodes coming up. take care...jay (jay.guevara@yahoo.com)
08.01.08 Can you please tell me the name and artist of the song that was playing on this week's episode when Noleta was running around and lighting candles? One line was "you done me wrong so I'm doing you right?"
Thanks,
Tim
07.30.08 Hi Del,
My partner and I are huge fans of your work. You have given us many laughs and even tears with all of your talent !!
We are coming out to LA for a visit and would love to find some of the places you used in Sordid Lives as photo opps. Of course we would be most respectful.
Would you mind telling me where the church is that you filmed at? And the old hotel? That would be so awesome to see them in person.
Thank you and God bless !
Greg
07.29.08 Can you remind me who the cast was for Sordid Lives at the Circle Theater- Ft. Worth in 1997? I was there, but can't remember the players.............only the laughter and tears
Thank you!!!

07.28.08 During a recent visit by Del Shores to the Whole World Theatre in Atlanta, I was the successful high bidder for a copy of the script signed by the author and cast to Episode #101 "The Day Tammy Wynette Died." Mr. Shores explained only the cover page could be released prior to broadcast and promised to mail the remainder of this script after the show had aired. The terrific first show has now been broadcast, but the email address Mr. Shores provided to contact him has been misplaced. Please either forward this message to Mr. Shores or obtain and send the script. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

07.27.08 The first episode of Sordid Lives on LOGO was spoiled by incessant and lengthy commercial breaks. Too bad. As one of your Palm Springs fans, I was looking forward to the series. And, what's with those stupid blue bouncing balls they showed even during the little we saw of your show?
07.25.08 Hi Del,

07.25.08 Hey Del --
You don't know me. I'm a New York City-based playwright. I wrote three episodes for the first season of "Queer As Folk" (so of course we have Ron and Dan in common).
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you what a huge fan I am of "Sordid LIves." It's delicious! (I'm from Houston originally, so this is all right up my alley.)
If you're ever looking for more staff writers (or for freelance writers for episodic stuff), I'd love, love, LOVE to be considered. I can have my agent send you samples of my work, if you're game. (I'm with Bill Craver at Paradigm here in NYC.)
Actually, I guess I could have had him reach out to you now, but it seemed better to take a more personal approach, given the QAF connection.
Anyway, congratulations on the show! (How wonderful is Beth Grant?)
Best,
Garth
07.25.08 Del, I read your comment on my recent blog post at www.outinasheville.com/outloud. I apparently didn't do my research on the writing/directing of the series. I'm glad to hear that you're writing the series - and, the cinematography is so reminiscent of the original - it's incredible!
On another note, I would love to interview you for an upcoming issue of OIA (www.outinasheville.com), our local LGBTQ publication in Asheville, NC. Let me know if you're interested - though I'm sure you're clogged up with interviews these days.

07.24.08 Hi Del, think your show is great, loved the movie and believe it or not my name is really LaVonda and I was born and raised in a small Texas town. Reminds me of so many people back home.
07.24.08 Hey Del --
Love your work -- first scenes of Sordid Lives about the husky jeans could've been my young life in Alabama :-) Anyhoo, watched the premiere of the series and thought it was great. Only problem is that I want my sister to see it, too, but she lives in a place that doesn't get LoGo -- any chance it'll show up on iTunes or Amazon Download to purchase? Thanks :-)
Cale
07.24.08 I was born and raised in Winters Texas. Born 2/9/1957 spent my life there until I got out of high school. I now live in the Austin Texas area and was wondering when you left Winters and were you grew up. Let me know if you can.
07.23.08 I just watched the first episode of Sordid Lives. As someone who grew up in San Angelo, Tx (now living in DC), I believe you have epitomized the people living in Rural Texas. I can't wait to see the next 11 episodes.
Have you been back to Winters lately? I'd love to see and hear the reaction in Abiline and San Angelo, I bet they would love the show.
07.23.08 Hi Del,
I wanted to drop you a line and tell you that I'm a big fan of Sordid Lives. Congrats on the show! I just caught the series premeire tonight, and I'm so excited to see more!
Also, I was hoping I could interest you in an idea I had. I'm a DJ and remixer, and I'd really like to do a club/dance remix of the theme song for you. I've been thinking about this idea for a while, and it would be a great way to promote the new show in a totally different, yet relevant venue. I'd be happy to do it for free, of course. It would be great exposure for me as well as for you and the show. If you'd like to learn more about me, or hear some examples of my work, check out my website www.shpank.com or my myspace www.myspace.com/DJShpank.
I hope this idea interests you as much as it does me! It's been a while since we had a really amazing gay anthem with a proper diva at the helm. I think Olivia's vocals and my energetic and uplifting beats could deliver just that!
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Mike (DJ Shpank)
07.23.08 Hey Del,
Its a HIT ! We Thank you for letting us be part of it!
A+!!!!!!!!!!
07.23.08 Saw your write-up in today's paper - break a leg in TV land...Does this mean you might have the funds for another Edinborough tour?

07.22.08 I would like the contact information for the agencies that handle performance rights. Thanks!
07.21.08 I'll get right to the point. Your new show starts in a few days and we're having a theme party. The fryed chicken, apple pie and Virginia slims is easy but I thought I saw a recipe somewhere for the tuna casserole withe mushroom soup and lays potato chips SOMEWHERE but for the life of me I can not find it. Where where where? BTW LOVED the movie and we will definitely be loyal fans of the show

07.20.08 Hello Del,
We just wanted to pass on how great your work is,esp. "Sordid Lives". We are huge fans on the movie and can not wait for the tv show. We wish you and Jason much love and luck with the new series. If you are ever in Seattle,it would be awesome to have the chance to say hello.
Sincerely,

07.19.08 Dear Mr. Shores,
I know you are extremely busy right now with your series coming out and other projects you are working on. I only hope that at sometime you might get to read this. I wanted to thank you for writing and believing in your work "Sordid Lives".
My 71 year old Mother, watched this movie with me and laughed as hard as I did. We live in the "Moonshine Captial of the world"(Wilkes County, NC where Nascar started), and the southern characters were so universal.(We were both putting names on all the characters from the neighbors)Thank you for making us laugh, and putting together such a wonderful cast.
We both are looking forward to the series. The DVR is already set!
Sincerely, and best wishes,

07.19.08 Del,
I seen you posted to my comment on Only Olivia this morning 7.19.08 about promoting the series as I did. I hope you get a chance to contact the btalk boys in Minneapolis, they do a weekly podcast on everything. I did let them know too that the series is coming out, but I bet they would love to hear from you personally, as they are trying to compaingn to get Kathy Griffin to come on their show, it would be awesome if you could beat her to the punch and get on the show before she does! If you do contact them, let Shannon know that Dave and Rich from La Crosse sent you! He will get a kick out of that! Their website is: www.btalkworld.com
Congratulations in advance on the series and here's to a second and third and.......

07.16.08 DEAR DEL
We are the Canadians who came to the premiere of the series yesterday and bid on a scene with Beth Grant. It was an absolute pleasure to meet our favourite cast. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift.
Can you please pass on a message to Ms Grant for us? She asked us to come to Palm Springs next Tuesday as we have a home there but we are travelling to our vacation home in Goa, India next Wednesday. Our sincerest apologies and hope to catch her next time. We look forward to hearing from Ms Grant.
Please keep us this great work and remmber that you have a big following in Canada. We plan to start a Canadian fan site on facebook soon.

07.14.08 Hi Del -- Not sure if you remember me. You helped me with a story a few years ago I was doing on Leslie Jordan. You provided some very insightful, kind quotes.
I was editor of the Houston Voice at the time. Now, I've moved on to music critic at the Houston Chronicle. BUT - I am a huge fan of Sordid Lives. I'm putting together a feature to advance the series premiere and am going to talk with Olivia and Georgette.
I'd love to talk with you about the series and also get screeners. Please drop me a line. I can't wait to see it!

07.13.08 Dear Del:
Hello my name is Michael Sexton, Music Director of WCOK Radio in North Carolina. I am writing you on behalf of the radio station and The American Heart Association. Each year we donate two Saturdays to them to auction and raise money for their causes. The entire amount is donated to them for this. With time swiftly passing it’s one again time for me to call on great folks like to help us out with this event! The past couple of years I have had a super response from artists such as yourself with items to auction. We have also had a super super response with autographed worn clothing items, shoes, boots, etc, along with photos, CD’s and such. Would you please kindly consider a donation of such a great item such as worn clothing, boots, shoes, CD’s, movie memoribilia etc. for our causes? If so we would welcome it warmly. Last year we raised over sixteen thousand dollars, and with help once again from folks like you, we can make this year another great success! The auction is still a few months away, however I'm trying to get some items in so we can start advertising what we have and so on. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and look forward to having something from you.
Sincerely,
Michael L. Sexton

07.13.08 Hey Del: Thanks for all the cool emails. Hope you are well. I have a lot of new cool stuff coming up for major roles in SAG films. Looking for a new stage show to perform in.
If you ever have an audition for a short white fella - I would be honored to audition. I will be on the Oprah Winfrey show Jan. 2009 for performance in a trailer for a writers book in which a feature will be allotted behind it.
I have a photo shoot and some interviews on July 26th out of NY - (that should be fun). Well, enough bragging.
Have a great week and keep me posted. PEACE.

06.30.08 Since I moved to Atlanta a year and a half ago, my coworkers (Southern gay waiters) have talked about Sordid Lives and how good it was. I hadn't gotten out much in the previous 13 years (taking care of parents) so I'd never heard of it. Intended to check it out, but being a Yankee, thought it might be a Southern thing and didn't get around to it until recently. What a revelation! Great movie, from great writing, mix of comedy and drama, the casting - even to the soundtrack (I've loved Kacey Jones since the Ethel days). Plus I identify with Ty (actor, parents, coming out, etc.) Thank you for the film. If possible, can you rush the TV series to disc ASAP? Can't afford the $100 upgrade to get LOGO. Wish I could catch your appearance in Atlanta, but I'll be working - Peasant Bistro downtown if you're looking for an oasis in the midst of the Pride chaos - we're off the gay beaten track.
06.29.08 The UC Santa Cruz Rainbow Theater is very interested in finding a copy of the script for Southern Baptisit Sissies for our theatrical library and possibly for a future production. Is this script published? Where can we acquire a copy?
Thank you and our warmest regards,
Adam
06.29.08 Del: You were a senior at Baylor when I was a Slime journalism major. (I was editor of the Lariat my senior year.)
You spoke to one of my classes (I think it was McCorkle's) but I don't remember the topic. But I do remember thinking you were cute.
On Saturday I met Leslie Jordan at Pride here in Seattle and he told me he knew you and that I should email you. I have followed your career, and of course can relate to everything you have written and produced. And your career is just about to take off with Sordid Lives. It seems obvious!
Best wishes, and thanks for representin' the gay side of Baylor. Cuz Lord knows it's real big, and real underground!

06.26.08 Del, Thomas and Roy from Arkansas here (aka Sissy on myspace). We have talked before and you sent us some signed stuff a couple years ago. Anyway, Roy and I are wanting to come to California in a month or two to get married and were wanting your opinion on whether to come to LA or do the typical SF thing. Have you and your partner gotten hitched yet? We are so excited. Would love to have you, Beth, and the rest of the cast attend. Beth could be my Bridesmaid and Leslie my flowergirl. Maybe you could work an Arkansas couple's wedding into your show lol. Anyway, wanted to say hey and see if you had any thoughts on our best option and invite you and the cast. It's been a few years since I was last in California, and Roy has never been to California at all. As Sissy would say, wayell, that's too bad! Thomas
06.25.08 Have the details for Del's appearance for Atlanta Pride been finalized? If so what are they?
Thanks
Dwayne
06.25.08 I just wanted to say I can't wait for the series and to get Olivia to do it makes me more excited about it. I love the 2 songs I heard so far besides the theme and the songs from the movie. Great idea bringing it to Logo. thanks again and can't wait. Chris
06.24.08 Del.
You popped onto my radar from the digipages of the advocate online when CA got marriage equality. We moved back to the east coast in 2006 and I'm an entertainment lawyer (egad) in Connecticut.
Would love to catch up!

The Movie was very funny.
Now I have a question to You!
My great hobby is, I draw Portraits from Olivia! And I would be very happy when my next Portrait one from Sordid Lives is.
For this work I need a picture from Olivas face where She is wearing the Wig.
All the photos that I saw are to small or blurred.
Have You a very good one that You can send to me?
My work can You see on my MySpace Site and on the "Only Olivia International Fanclub"
About an answer I would be very pleased
Greetings
Susanna
06.20.08 I just love your work! I live in Abingdon, VA.....it would be great if we could bring your plays to the Barter Theatre ! Have you heard of the Barter? The State Theater of VA.

06.18.08 Del...
I have some great material I'd like to run by you and discuss with you for the next version of "Sordid Lives"...I've met you a few times at Cracked Christmas and a few other things in LA with my friend "MOMMA". After several years in Hollywood I moved back to Alabama and thanks to your writing, directing and productions...it's made me more "aware" of the plethora of talent and subjects we have to write on in the South. It would be such a pleasure to talk with you again either when I'm in LA or to host you here in Alabama. I'll be back in the LA area the week of July 4-13.
Sincerely,

06.17.08 Southern Baptist was to begin filming April 2008. What is the latest? Thanks, Ray
06.16.08 Del,
I have DISH Network and they don't carry LOGO, so any suggestions on how one can see the Sordid Lives series when it comes out? I know many of your fans are in the same situation and would like some advice reagarding this issue. The trailer looks like this is going to be a fantastic show.
Thanks for any ideas you might have on how we DishNetworkers can see your show.
Thanks,
Paul in Dallas
06.14.08 I just wanted to say congratulations on the LOGO series "Sordid Lives"! It looks like it will be amazing. I also enjoy your website and did not realize the body of work that you have accomplished! Simply impressive!
06.11.08 I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your work. As an out theatre artist, I find it very inspiring, very insightful and witty in ways that I find in few other works. I just graduated with a theatre degree, so I am on the move, but everywhere I go, I take a copy of my script of Sordid Lives with me. Thank you.
06.10.08 Del - I wrote to you a while ago about how much I admire your work...especially Sordid Lives and QAF. I'm still a fan and looking forward to your latest productions.
I have HIV and spend quite a bit of time resting and wathcing TV. I don't tell everyone but I secretly watch lots of 70's and 80's game shows when I can't sleep. Not too long ago, I was watching SuperPassword with one of the Landry sisters and Nipsy Russel. One of the guests had a great haircut. I was lamenting the loss of the "feathered" look that he featured when the host began doing the obligatory contestant chat. Yada yada yada then something about a playwright in Los Angeles followed by more yada yada. I watched and then the handsome man lost and the host congratuled "DEL SHORES" on his appearance on the show. I was so surprised. Did you know you were in reruns? I thnk you need to contact your agent and see about residuals...LOL. I'm sure that you would have done better had you not had to look at the Landry Sister wearing a silly, cowboy hat. Who could concentrate knowing that at any moment she would break into a line dance. Thank goodness that trend has left us.
Thank you so much for writing back. As you recall, I'm in Atlanta. I've moved to the heart of boystown recently and really enjoy it. Feel welcome to stop by for a visit on your next trip. I'm looking forward to Leslie Jordan's upcoming one man show here. Your words coming out of his mouth s quite the one two punch.I'm looking forward to your next big ventures. All the best to you and your family.
-Dan
06.04.08 Hello Del,
I just thought I would drop you a line from my email. I don't always have the opportunity to check Rue's Myspace during the day.
Looking forward Outfest, and te launch of Sordid Lives.
As soon as you give me the green light on ticket sales, I will be the first in line.
Take care,
Skye
06.02.08 I doubt you remember me, but I was priviledged to work as Ted's stand-in. I remember hearing about the series coming to film in Shreveport long before it actually started. Anyway... Like I said I was highly priviledged to work on the project... and I'm already getting excited about the possibility of season 2 coming to Shreve.... hopefully when it does, I'll get to work as a PA throughout the filming....
[I usually work as a PA... but couldn't turn down the opportunity to work as a stand in on this series!!}
Once again, thank you for the opportunity!! Thank you for creating something that lil southern sissies like me and my freinds could relate to!! Looking foward to the premiere and from hearing back from you!!
Much love,
eric s

05.31.08 I am 50 years old and have moved back home because my Mom couldn't pay her bills. She's 75 years old and will literally watch anything on TV or any movie I've rented as long as she hasn't seen it before. She just doesn't see the point of watching something twice. That is, until we watched the DVD of Sordid Lives. She made me go out and buy a copy and is constantly inviting her friends over from The American Legion over to watch this movie. She is absoulutely crazy over it. You can't get a better testamonial than my Mom loving you like crazy!
05.30.08 Southern Baptist film was to begin shooting April 2008. Whats the latest?
05.28.08 Del,
I'm not one to write fan letters, but I've just been informed that you're from MY hometown of Winters, Texas.
Though I've heard of your work often, I've never watched/read any, and had no idea we hailed from the same small, dusty town.
Just wanted you to know, I'm having a Del Shores Movie Night this Friday with some friends in honor of the talent and success of one of Winters' native sons.
A new fan,
Kelli Slimp
05.27.08 OK, we're slow in Pensacola, I admit. Just "discovered" Sordid Lives last year and have just about worn out the DVD. Love love love your work. We don't get logo on our cable yet, so we'll have to do a pay-per-view or wait til the DVD, but I can't WAIT. So glad you got so many of the originals! As a recovering Southern Baptist minister's grandson originally from TN, I know every one of your characters. Hope to just see more and more of you! Now I must go watch Sordid Lives one more time...or two...ain't it a bitch???
05.22.08 Hi Dell,
I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how much I enjoyed meeting you and Jason last week here in Sioux City. You are both such a delight and you have a real gift for encouraging others. The cast was so honored to have you here, and I loved watching you work with them. I hate to use an over used expression, but you’re a “class act”. You leave people feeling better about themselves; that’s a gift!
Hope you found your book and your flights were uneventful.
Take care and know that you are remembered well in Sioux City, Iowa.
Greg
P.S. I love the music on your site, who is it?
05.21.08 Hello Del-
My name is Hannah Logan, and we have actually met several times. I have been a big fan of your work for awhile (I am also a recovering Southern Baptist), and have just written a play that opens June 13th called Trailerville. I would love it if you could attend . Please let me know where I can send you a VIP invitation.
Thank you
Hannah Logan (a fan and fellow Southerner)
05.11.08 Wow! How sweet to have a comment from you on the blog about our combined (90th) birthday party. We've been huge fans since we first saw Sordid Lives (and bought about 10 copies as Christmas presents for friends) and have watched it with many of said friends more than enough to now be able to quote many lines from the movie. We can't wait for the series & for Southern Baptist Sissies!
If you are free we'd love to have you join us at the festivities on June 1st in Sacramento. We had discussed inviting you but thought you'd think we were nuts or freaks or something. If you'd like the invite (silly & in the vein of what we're doing) give us an email address we can forward it and let us know! You'd be surrounded by friends and admirers (and expected to win the "match the quote to the character" game). Jack & JT
05.11.08 Is it true that Sordid Lives is going to be made into an HBO mini-series with all original cast members (except Delta)? I've been to HBO's web site and googled it and cannot confirm it.
Thanks,
Lee
05.11.08 Hello Del: I've met Leslie on several occasions. I am a working actor/print model in the DFW/FT. WORT, TX areas. I wanted to invite you to view my website www.markedwardhowell.com for headshots, resume, demo reel and other info. Just booked a lead in Cancun, Mexico and a supporting here in Tx. I am a short fun, funny guy and Leslie's sister in law said I remind her of him. So, if you ever need a short funny white feller (other than Leslie) - then don't hesitate to give me a shout. My phone # is 817-874-1027 (private). Oh, June 1st I and my partner will celebrate our 23rd anniversary. PEACE.
Good Morning M. Legend: How are you?
Just sent in my headshot and resume for Murder by Mistake to Michael DeVous for audition consideration.
Put in a good word for me dude.

04.23.08 Any chance we could get you to screen "Southern Baptist Sissies" at the Outflix Film Festival this September in Memphis? All of us who are former Southern Baptist Sissies would LOVE it!
04.20.08 It has been a lazy Sunday morning, clicking around on the internet, and I have obviously come upon your website. What a treat! I am very excited about the "Sordid Lives" series on LOGO.
I too am a native Texan living in Southern California now. I grew up in suburban Ft. Worth, was raised in a fairly strict Church of Christ home, and attended Abilene Christian University. After school I returned to the town (Crowley) where I grew up and taught school for 8 years. Twelve years ago I moved out west, running from the impending truth that I was gay. Even out here I fought for a few years, but, as you know, if your gay, then you are gay. I teach at a private Episcopalian school which gave me a wonderful supportive group of people and a very safe place to start coming out. I have also been very happily partnered for the past 5 years with a wonderful man (a Texan no less, he even went to A&M!) who was also raised Church of Christ.
So, imagine my total joy when I saw on your site that there is a film version of "Southern Baptist Sissie" in the works. On one of our early dates, my partner and I saw it on hot Sunday night in 2002 at the Zephyr. I even had the chance to thank you after the show.
All of this is to say that I want to say thank you again. "Sissies" is a major moment in my life, something that still has me feeling very good about myself and being gay. That has empowered me to begin to work with GLSEN, kind of spreading the gift you gave me to others.
Thanks again. Good luck with the tv series and your other projects!
peace,
Rob Krueger
04.13.08 My friends and I are anxiously waiting on the Sordid Lives series. When I lived in Chicago, the movie only was at theatre for 2 weeks and I saw it 3 times, taking a variety of friends to share the humor.
Continue to search for update on Southern Baptisit Sissies and can't find anything. Saw this play in Chicago and it resonates on so many levels with me and my friends. Where are you on production? Any release date? We want to be there opening weekend!!!
Thanks for all your therapy you are providing us "recovering Baptist."
David
04.11.08 Del:
As a self-respecting gay man, I've seen Southern Bap. Sissies at the Zephyr about 5 times, and I've seen Sordid Lives about 1,000 times. I recently moved back from West Hollywood to Memphis, Tennessee to be closer to my family. The words of your characters provide me with the inspiration to thrive in my new home. Thank you SO much! Good luck with your TV show!

04.10.08 Hey Del,
My name is Donny Meacham, and I am 21 years old. I just read ur article in the Los Angeles Business Journal, as a 21 year old gay actor who moved to L.A. a little over a year ago. I wanted to say that ur story motivates me, and lets me know that It's ok to be gay in Hollywood. Will everyone be ok with it, nope, but with more people stepping up & out like you, theres hope. Thanks for your story.
04.07.08 Hello Del.
First of all, I have enjoyed reading your plays, seeing many of them produced, and seeing the movie Sordid Lives.
(In fact, I am on the play selection committee at our theatre, and have submitted them all. We have already done three of them.) It's wonderful to see your success!
Recently I have written a play which Samuel French has offered to publish. I doubt you remember meeting me and my friends, but we brought you a picture of our cast of Daddy's Dyin' to the Sordid Lives production at Circle Theatre in Fort Worth. It was so nice taling with you that evening, and I remembered you talking a bit about the publication process, but not specifics. Anyway, I would love a little advice. The contract is a little confusing to say the least, and I am thinking I should get an entertainment attorney. I was wondering also, how adaptable are they at French? I want a couple of specific things, such as listing the original production here and the availbility of using specific music used in a section of the play.
Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Patsy Hester Daussat, "The Makeover"
04.07.08 Greetings from Alabama! I love your work! Should you need any talent from a true Southerner please contact me. I also have some good ideas on new projects if you may be interested. Stuck in the South here and lookin' for work..LOL!
Sordid Lives brought me so many fond memories and is still one of my favorite movies. Of course being in the South I can totally relate. Thank you so much for bringing me some much needed laughter in my life. You are truly awesome!
I hope to hear back from you, I need some much needed work whether it is in the Film Industry or Personal Service Industry. I have a background in both. Hope to hear back!
Kindest Regards,
Mikel Bennett
04.02.08 Del, thanks for visiting my Theatre History class on Monday. I appreciated your commentary on playwriting and willingness to share stories from your life. Break a leg with future projects! Be well.
Richard
03.25.08 I would do anything to work with you!!!!!
I'm an actor and i just finished film school, so I can produce masterful pieces of art both IN FRONT, or behind the camera. I feel we have a lot in common. I was raised in West Virginia and my granfather was a pentecostal minister and pastored the same church for 53 years.LOL! I've been to tons of Tent-Revivals and Campmeetins! I have lots of characters I would love to develop with you and several scriptas in the works. I can even speak in tongues on cue!!!!! My myspace is myspace/bryanfavor.com
Let's be BFF's . I have an idea for a night-time soap/comedy set in and around a church and all the shit that goes down in them.
xoxo,
Bryan
03.01.08 Hello,
I'm currently playing the role of Orville in the Stained Glass Theatre's production of Daddy's Dyin. Our director (Robert Weidle) recently reached out to you and I too wanted to say how much I have loved being a part of this piece. I love your work and Sordid Lives holds a very special place for me, given that I too had to leave my small town upbringing before being able to feel "ok" about who I am. I am also the President of the Footlighters and the Stained Glass Theatre (which is a non-profit, 43-year old community theatre group) and I would really love to sing the piece Stained Glass Window at our upcoming cabaret evening. Is there sheet music available that I could borrow? I would sign whatever is necessary to state that I would not make a professional recording of the piece. It is just that the song is wonderful, it is right in the heart of my range, I can really relate to the lyrics and it also carries the name of our community theatre (www.footlighters.org). I look forward to hearing back from you if you have the time.

02.23.08 Dear Del,
I heard recently about the SORDID LIVES series on LOGO. I would love to present the series at the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival, June 19-29, 2008, if the timing works. Is there a premiere broadcast date on LOGO? Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.
02.17.08 We hope to do a production of "Sordid Lives" this summer on Fire Island. Will the upcooming tv series have any effect on obtaining rights from Samuel French?
Also, many drag queens want to play roles in this play. I don't know what to tell them. Except for Brother Boy, my take is that it would be inappropriate. What's your take on this?
02.12.08 Are you ever going to bring some of your shows up here to San Francisco? If so, when???
02.10.08 After watching Sordid Lives with my partner again for about the fifteenth time, I just wanted to send a note to let you know how much we enjoy that movie. It continues to bring both laughter and tears each time we see it. We love it! We always tell new acquaintances about it, and if they haven't seen it, we always invite them to watch it with us. No doubt, it is my favorite movie of all time. Last night, for the first time, we watched the commentary version and the interviews, and loved that, too. I am not one to write to celebrities, but I just wanted to say thanks to you for the entertainment you have provided with Sordid Lives. I wish there was a way i could thank each cast member. We think you are great, Del, and we look forward to more of your work. From a Georgia fan named Tim
02.08.08 Dear Del,

02.04.08 Del,
It has been so many years......do you remember Dr. Bob Foster, the dentist that came to Zapata each summer with Amigos Internacionales??? I'm his daughter. I'm in a gospel trio with a sweet Alambama gal named Cat Anderson who is Lurlene for a production of "Daddy's Dyin" near Houston where I live now. When she told me she'd found this website, I was so excited to see how you have found success and joy in your life. I remember you as a talented guy and kept up with you some through your parents staying in contact with my folks. Our trio will be singing as an opening for the play this weekend and I am amazed how the threads weave back and forth, yet are all so interconnected. Hope you are well and I wish you the best!

01.31.08 I am a hug fan of your work and have enjoyed Sordid Lives so much that I watch with my friends religiously. Thanks for bringing a perspective of my childhood back into focus for me and allowing me to laugh at myself and those around me!
01.31.08 So excited about Sordid Lives coming to Logo as a series. Can't wait to see it. Hope it stays true to the play and movie. Love all your works.
01.31.08 I just love your work!! I have Sordid Lives on DVD and watch it alot...I was 2nd runner up in Sordid Lives Trivia at our annual campout last year! I also saw Southern Baptist Sissies last fall in Atlanta and it touched ME,, my friends and really the whole crowd!! One of my friends with me was southern baptist and grew up in Irving...I saw a tear in his eye.... it was a great play! I grew up on a ranch and work at a job in Tulsa now for American Airlines in maintenance... but my folks and I have made peace and they are alot better with it now, but you have helped alot of us get on with who we are ...WE LOVE YA FOR IT!! and I'm sure my folks do too!!
01.30.08 Dear Del,
I am honored to be playing Lurlene (your mom) in "Daddy's Dyin'..." at the Historic Crighton Theatre in Conroe, TX (just north of Houston)for 7 shows: Feb. 1,2,8,9,10,15 & 16. I feel like I AM Lurlene, as my Southern Baptist family was exactly like the Turnovers. Any chance you could stop by? We're not that far from Shreveport...Thank you for the laughs and truths. Oh, I'd sure love to audition for any upcoming shows of yours. God bless you! CAT
01.26.08 I'm 50 years old this year. I've watched Sordid Lives, at the request of my stepson, several times. My grandparents lived in Winters, and I spend lots of time there in summers. It took my several viewings to get the feel for why this fiml seemed so familiar. My g-mother is Idell Smith . . . seemed so familiar. Dr. McCreit . . . .. seemed so familiar.
Anyway, we went to my G-moher's 95th bithday celebraion a couple of years ago -- no one in Winters had heard of Sordid Livees. Not a surprise, eh?
01.25.08 When is the first sordid lives tv series show going to air????
01.24.08 In MPLS at Playwrights' Center on 14 Jan my script 2G's & a BLT ( and baby that ain't no sandwich) was read. The part of Charles was written with Leslie Jordan in mind (after seeing Ed Decker's direction of SBSissies in SF. )
01.23.08 HI Del,
I am a lesbian model and actor. I live in the Seattle area. I am contact you because I can't seem to find any modeling or production companies which would be interested in LGBT models or actors. Do you have any advice for a gal like me?
Thanks for your time,

01.18.08 My roommate and i watch "Sordid Lives" about 3 times a week. My brother, his friends, my sister and her friends are all hooked on the movie, as well, after I bought them all DVD.s. We are going to have a "Sordid Lives" party for my sisters birthday, all portraying different characters, like a Rocky Horror Picture Show Event. I am a film school graduate with a second degree in Writing who would love to have the opportunity to apply for ANY position with "Del Shores Productions". Please let me know how I may submit a resume and/or just be kept up do date on any Del Shore play or movie premieres/events. Thank you. - Dennis Stratton Wilkes
01.15.08 Hi Del, I met you in the fall of 2000 at a screening of Sordid Lives..the movie in St. Louis . You were even kind enough to take a photo with me. 12.10.07 This morning I woke up early and started cruising the internet to see what on here. During this time, somehow made my way to your site. The theme song to you movie "Southern Baptist Sissies", "Stained Glass Windows" has stuck with me all day long and I was wondering where I could get the lyrics for it. I also want to know when the movie will be released.
I've seen "Sordid Lives". You've heard it before and will hear it again but, that was my life completely! The funniest part was when Latrelle lifted the apple pie dish to see the name on the bottom written in masking tape. Nobody I knew understood it. It was the first time in my life I truely felt like there was some one out there like me. THANX! Love ya work... hit me up at myspace.com/diamondcross or my e-mail address.

ps - just hosted my own choir's "Sordid Lives" retreat...many of my choir down in Ft. Lauderdale had never seen the movie....we laughed, we cried...we had covered dishes with masking tape underneith....and we went away from that retreat knowing we were all loved (and really as dysfunctional as the family in the movie!!!). Thank you for continuing to move us. Good luck with the broadway show!
